SchengenVisa

How many Schengen days do you have left?

Visitors from the US, UK, Canada, Australia and most other countries may spend 90 days in any 180-day period in the Schengen area. The window rolls every day, which makes the arithmetic easy to get wrong. Enter your trips and get the exact answer: days used, days left and the date you must leave by.

Your trips into the Schengen area

Last 180 days or so. Entry and exit days both count as full days.

How the 90/180 rule works

On any given day, look back 180 days (that day plus the 179 before it). You may have been present on at most 90 of them. The day you arrive and the day you leave both count. It is not “90 days per visit” and it does not reset when you leave — it slides. The rule is Article 6 of Regulation (EU) 2016/399.

Which countries count

The Schengen area: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Ireland and Cyprus are not in it; days there do not count.
